BUCKEYE BIG BUCK CLUB SCORES THE BRIAN STEPHENS BUCK
Photo by Rick Busse - Busse's Wildlife Studio.

It's official.
The Brian Stephens buck is a new state record.  He has been named
the largest nontypical whitetail deer ever taken with a muzzleloader in the state of Ohio.  Brian is from Clayton, Ohio which is in Montgomery County and harvested this monster 18 pt. buck in Highland County.  He sealed the deal with a T/C muzzleloader on November 30, 2009.  The buck has an official gross score of 250 1/8 and a net score of 232 5/8.

Buckeye Big Buck scorers Mike Wendel and David Haynes scoring the Stephens buck as Vicki Mountz from ODNR curiously watches the process.  Gary Trent (BBBC President) and Ron Perrine (BBBC scoring supervisor) are also present for this historic event.
